Count of Medina is a cultural-technical portal dedicated to preserving and disseminating the rich historical heritage of the Medina noble titles in Spain.
About the Project
This project uses modern technologies to ingest, enrich, and present historical information from open sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Europeana. Our goal is to create an accessible and comprehensive platform that allows exploring the history, genealogy, cultural heritage, and places related to the Medina titles: Sidonia (House of Guzmán), Pomar (House of Velasco), Río Seco (Enríquez family) and Celi (House of Medinaceli).
Our Mission
To preserve and disseminate the historical legacy of the Medina noble titles, including the famous Count of Medina Sidonia (later Duchy), famous for its participation in the Spanish Armada, facilitating access to quality historical information for both researchers and the general public.
